"Out of the Blue: Campfire Tales" and "Santa's Favorite Tales"

Yee-ha! Starting 2016 off right. Together with Walter Ostlie, we've got a short story published in Stache's "Out of the Blue: Campfire Tales." It's over a hundred pages of great horror stories by a host of talented cartoonists. I also have an illustration in Vizyon's "Santa's Favorite Tales." This one is around sixty pages of "holiday comics for grown up kids."
Fun stuff!
And excited to be included!

Save the Gem City #1- on Comixology

Writer Shane Lewis and I have been working hard on this the past few months, and it's exciting to finally be able to share it on Comixology today. Skagators (Aligators that listen to Ska), explosive toilets, and evil Glam Rock Spiders are just some of the reasons I had to draw this one. Download it, trust me, you'll have fun in this world!

Hambot in The Charleston Anvil

Hamlet starring robots and condensed into 8 pages of comics. They're all here: Ro-pheila, LRTZ, Claudroid and many more. All illustrated gorgeously in B&W by a man born to draw it, who goes by the name of Robotsketch on Deviant Art: Janus Lu! This was one of those projects that was done for pure fun and to have it in the very first issue of The Charleston Anvil is both an honor and a great pleasure! You can get your digital and print copies right here.
The kids approve! (Ok I told him he'd get ice cream if he smiled, but trust me, when he has to do a paper on Hamlet in a few years he's gonna be happy he had Hambot sitting on the shelf!)

Broadsword, P.I. #3

Broadsword #3 hits the digital shelves today with 3 more stories of weird hard-boiled fantasy. This one might be my fav since it contains the 'Bad Seafood' story, which was written pretty much on a train ride where we laughed ourselves silly. It also contains maybe the weirdest story of the set 'Star Power,' written entirely as a song. That one took many meetings of the Bsword Bros to get just right. We hope you dig it! Download it here for a measly buck!

Mayfly Satellites

I had a lot of fun collaborating with Annie Christain on "Mayfly Satellites." Her poem is dark, strange, creepy, and mysterious and it was a great experience working with her, discussing the imagery and getting the tone and mood right for this animatic. She supplied me with tons of reference imagery that I was able to spring off of with my skritchy skratchy pens and watercolors. Her choice of using the music of Dan Deacon was inspired and was the last piece of the puzzle. The poem is based partly on the story of The Memphis Three... the rest is up to your imagination....

Shane-nanigans

I've been working with Shane for the past couple of months on "Save the Gem City." It's been a wild ride and a heck of a lot of fun. He just wrote this article for Crunchy Roll on the writing process which also features some previews of our work. Well done Mr. Lewis! Read the full article here.
